SHROPSHIRE BUTTERFLIES: A Poetic and Artistic Guide to the Butterflies of Shropshire by Nadia Kingsley was launched in Save our Butterflies week.

 

It is a matt hardback book 170 x 245 mm, 124 pp, containing 75 poems and 69 images, from sixty six contributors including Gillian Clarke, National poet of Wales; Katherine Swift, author of The Morville Hours; Paul Evans, radio 4 naturalist and Country Diary columnist for the Guardian; Peter Boardman, entomologist who works for Field Studies Council; Matthew Oates, the butterfly adviser to the National Trust, TV naturalist and author.

 

My painting Spring, of the comma butterfly was painted especially for the book.
